Practicing with line-art and I just...

-___-

I make that face a lot. Ha ha.

But y'know! Practice makes perfect, and this is really my first stab at the pen tool! I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually!

Ah I love doing line art.
What I find easiest, is to make your sketch reeeal big, then use the pencil tool (in photoshop, at least) to line. Its pixelly but the pen pressure's good. I also use a lot of layers with lineart, eg. I might have a layer for the basic outline of something, another for just one single line, another for this detail and another for that...no real order to it, just seperates things. so that if I screw up I can easily locate the mistake without having to tamper with other sections, you know? But once I'm all done with that, I chuck those layers into a group and resize the image down. Makes the lines look smoother, rather than all pixelly!
Doing that isn't everyone's thing but I find it produces clean, smooth lines. Also if you're using a tablet it will make things easier bc pen pressure is a life saver.
But you seem to be doing a pretty decent job yourself! Keep at it :)

Yeah, I dunno... I gotta keep working at it... I don't like how it loses it's original line quality though... ergh. But I want to be able to make things look clean. I'M SO TORN AGH.

Yeah. I kind of like the original line work for my stuff, but I also want to learn how to make things look cleaner.
